Recently FoxsNews.com released their version of 40 Hotties–Over 40.  The 40 hottest cougars of 2008.  If women over 40, or in May-December relationships are called cougars, what the heck are old men, with young girlfriends called.  LOL.  Okay, I digressed.  To see who made Fox’s list, CLICK HERE

In the number one position was Demi Moore.  Rounding out the Top 10 were:  Halle Berry, Faith Hill, Salma Hayek, Cloris Leachman (yes Cloris beat out Angela Bassett, Tina Turner, Michelle Obama…but they all made the list…just not as high as Cloris), Julia Roberts, Kristen Davis, Fran Dreshcher, Mariska Hargitay, and Teri Hatcher.  Sarah Palin also made the list…she just didn’t make the first female Vice-President of these United States.  Janet Jackson didn’t make the list at all; neither did Regina King, Vanessa Williams or some of your other favorites.  Maybe we should start the Black List…QQ…hmmm I’m just saying.  But, as you peruse the list, I’ll leave you with You’re So Beautiful by Joe Cocker.

  1. Well if Vanessa didn’t make it, it’s rigged, LOL.

Dera´s last blog post..Sister Souljah, Part II- Did We Get It Yet?

  2. Dera, rotflmao…you are too funny!

  3. Cloris Leachman and Sarah Palin but no Vanessa, at the very least? Are you serious??? They must have met their “quota.” Yes, we do need our own list because this is ridiculous.

Ms. Toni´s last blog post..OOSA Online Book Club gave 4 stars to: Gangsta Bitch

  4. Ms. Toni, unfortunately I’m serious. Did you see the list?

  5. Well, we have our own Black Academy Awards & Essence Awards to make up for the constant snubs by the Academy Awards. And we have our own music awards to compensate for the Grammy snubs. So why not have our own over 40s Black Beauties Award?

  6. You ladies are missing one very important thing. Black don’t crack. It is common for a Black woman to still be beautiful after 40, 50, 60, ……. But for a non-Black woman to still be beautiful and youthful looking, that’s a freaking miracle worthy of recognition…hehehehehe

  7. All I can say is speechless.. Yes there needs to be an AA List for women over 40….

  8. LOL, Khadejah so true!

  9. Edwina and ALL, let’s get to working on that list. So, who else would we include?

  10. Problem is, we wouldn’t be able to STOP at just 40. Like Khadejah said, BLACK DON’T CRACK!

    To start…
    Beverly Johnson
    Diahann Carroll
    Patti LaBelle
    Lena Horne
    Iman
    Vanessa Williams
    Regina King
    Vanessa Bell Calloway
    Janet Jackson
    Toni Braxton
    Robin Roberts
    LisaRaye
    Holly Robinson Peete
    Robin Givens

The list could go on and on and on…
