In this sequel by B. Swangin Webster, Cheryl Bookman has successfully divorced her husband, Kevin, who was abusive mentally, physically, and sexually. Her son, Donnell, is in college and daughter, Kayla, is a typical yet troubled teenager. Cheryl has found love in Matthew Perry but his secrets just might destroy their relationship. On the other hand, she is still letting her past interfere with her present and she does not see how it is affecting the people who care about her. She learns the hard way on how to stand up for herself, but is it too late?
Kevin cannot stop rehashing issues with his mother and father, which in turn causes him to hurt those whom he claims to love and disown those who need his help. Kevin believes he has found love in Rebecca, but seems to enjoy tormenting his ex-wife. However, Rebecca has her own little agenda by keeping secrets that can destroy everything that her lover has built.
Donnell comes for a visit to tell his mother about Danielle, the love of his life, but everything keeps getting in the way. Kayla has decided that her parents just do not understand her. She is confused and refuses to deal with her family’s problems, so she reacts by acting out. Will the Bookman household ever be in order again?
And Again…Let Me Say This, reads as a book with many plot themes. The author’s voice changed point-of-view throughout the book, which made it hard to follow where the story was headed. The flashbacks and intimacy scenes took over and the main characters and the meaning behind the book title were lost. I did enjoy the touch of karma coming back to bite the ex-husband, Kevin. Before recommending this book to others, additional work such as full proofreading, copy and content editing, and layout services need to be completed.
