The List by Sherri Lewis
Not as good as her first two books. My Soul Cries Out and Dance Into Destiny, but good nevertheless. It’s an eye opener for single sister who are wondering why they are still single and are looking for Mr. Right. Is he right there under you nose? Or could it be that you are just not ready yet? Think about what you can offer. What kind of attributes are on you list. Is you demands so high that you perfect man does not exist.
I already read Brandon Massey’s Don’t Ever Tell and A Different Type of Blues by Forster. Today I’m going to buy The Ancestors and Midnight:Gangster Love.
Jnette…thanks for the heads-up!
Monique share your thoughts regarding Don’t Ever Tell and A Different Type of Blues. Would love to hear what you have to say about them!
I’ve read A Different Kind of Blues and Sweetsmoke. I have spoken highly of Sweetsmoke. ADKOB, it depends on if you like Gwynne Forster’s style. Sharon of APOOO had a good discussion about this book. We felt some instances were inplausible or silly. Forster’s signature is her ability to capture the angst between man and woman.
I have been trying to get to Stand the Storm for the last three months. I am determined to read that and Don’t Ever Tell and of course the BOM, Love Child’s Revenge, which I picked up at the new Borders with my 40% coupon.
Dera´s last blog post..Fall into Fiction 2008
I’ve read Cross Country enjoyed it a lot; Dying for Revenge talked about it with APOOO members and the November BOM, Love Child’s Revenge. Good read and I’m looking forward to discussing it with the group the last week of November.
Dera, look forward to hearing your thoughts on Stand the Storm!
Dang Dera, I was not even thinking that I should have used the 40% coupon for that.

My reading list for this month is HOR-REE-BLE!!!! I read A Different Kind of Blues and Don’t Ever Tell (audio). Dera and I had a little discussion on ADKoB and we both felt it was silly and just unbelievable. I love reading books by Ms. Forster but this one compared to her other was a different kind of something…LOL!! I have yet to read our BOM and will read MIdnight for December BOM.
Oh know Sharon so sorry to hear this…good news the month isn’t over…hopefully things will pick up.
I read Sherri Lewis’ The List. I thought it was her best book yet. I read it in one sitting and I never do that, I don’t care what book it is.
I read Rhythms of Grace which was pretty heavy, but very good. Different for the author.
I put down Midnight. Life’s just to short to fight my way through that one and I’m not a reviewer, so I don’t have to.
I want to read Oject of His Protection. Don’t have it yet though.
I also want to read really want to read Shameless Hoodwives. Don’t have that one yet, either.
Hey Rhonda…I have yet to hear someone say they like Midnight…sigh.
From the list I read the BOM Love Child’s Revenge. The only books on the list that I plan to read are Midnight (which I’m nervous to read) and Dying For Revenge.
This month I read:
The List by Sherri Lewis
The Object of his Protection by Brenda Jackson
Second Chance, Baby by AC Arthur
Did I read Don’t Ever Tell this month?, I think is was last month!
Rhonda,
I really enjoyed the List by Sherri Lewis, I still think My Soul Cries Out is her best book!!
My Soul Cries Out was an excellent book. Really, hard to top when you come that strong on your first book. I like The List because it’s soooooooooo funny and it’s so Sherri. I love reading a book that makes me laugh out loud. It’s such a treat.
I read:
A Different Kind of Blues
Stand the Storm
Love Child’s Revenge
Dera´s last blog post..My name is Dera and I am a bookaholic
My plan is to read 72 hour hold by Bebe Moore Campbell.
