Charles L. Chatmon is a native of Los Angeles, California. He is the author of The Depths of My Soul and The Voices of South Central. Also, he has written articles for colleges and community newspapers. In addition to his writing talents, Charles has performed in various spoken word venues in the Southern California area and has read his poems on television and radio. He conducts free writers workshops and currently serves as the executive director of the Los Angeles Black Book Expo.
