No Barrel No Crabs by B.C. Kidd is a story of a family who has been divided, abused, and becomes destructive only to come together and try to conquer the world. We are introduced to several colorful characters that help mold this family setting. Ossie, who survived a tragic accident as a child, grows up dealing with low self-esteem issues and chooses drugs over therapy. Turning to drugs she loses herself and there seems no turning back. While not knowing where her family is, Ossie lives in a state of frustration as well as loneliness.

Looking for a change, and maybe to clean up her act, Ossie moves to Los Angeles, where she meets Mack Jr., a man running for council. Through a brief interaction, they seem very familiar with each other and mesh well, so Mack offers Ossie, now Rhonda, a new start at a job as his campaign manager. Believing this is the shot she needs to get her life together; Rhonda uncovers some truths about her family and their whereabouts. While having great faith in Mack Jr., she encourages him to think outside of the box and go for the gold. Councilman Mack runs for mayor and attempts to upgrade the city, and therefore with a strong team and backers he is led to run for President of The United States.

No Barrel No Crabs was an interesting story; however it was slow moving and a tad mundane. There are also editing issues and a lot of surfing back and forth between who was telling the story. I feel with adjustments and proper editing this could be a great story.
