1). Would Between Lovers have been a better story if told from
Nicole’s point of view, instead of No-Name’s point of view? (Faythful)
2). Because the male protoganist was a writer, did you feel like you were reading a story autobiographical of one of Dickey’s past loves? Do you think the protagonist is name-less due mainly to the fact that the author may be writing about himself? (Faythful)
3). No Name’s Dad and Nicole’s Mother seemed to be two sides of the same religious coin. Were the decisions made by the three main characters (No Name, Nicole, and Ayanna) moral, hedonistic, selfish, some combination of all three? (Faythful)
4). Do you feel Nicole was selfish in wanting both partners to share her and not experience one another?
5). Who did Nicole love the most and why did you choose your answer?(aNN)
6.) Ayana did some comparison of material items to the narrator, such as the square footage of her home compared to his, the ability to expand or not, etc. What is your opinion of this? Do you feel that Ayana believed that Nicole was interested in material wealth? Do you believe that Nicole was shallow? (Dawn)
