I read The Devil Is A Lie, and it was funny! Not what I expected at all, especially after reading Kimberla Lawson Roby's One In A Million, which deals with the same thing! Good read! I plan to read one of the titles this weekend. I'm on my way to Los Angeles to celebrate my grandmother's 87th birthday with her. My mom and I are surprising her, she doesn't know we are coming!

I would like to recommend - FINDING JOY IN PAIN by Roslyn Wyche-Hamilton. Our book club - Just Between Friends just read it. We all loved the book. It created some heavy duty conversation while we were at the restaurant and she actually came to the meeting after we asked her to.

It was also nice to find her book at Borders in Deptford Mall in New Jersey on display right next to Steve Harvey's - Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man which we also loved. She said it is in just about all of the book stores. We ate, drank & chatted - oops &some of us did Karaoke. lol

I hope you consider it. Such a gracious, humble & down to earth person. Be Blessed!

I read Children ot he Waters by Carleen Brice. i enjoyed the story and Carleen once again addresses among other themes, mother-daughter issues and blended families.

I have also read Wife of the Gods by Kwei Quartey and have found a new author to follow. Enjoyed his main character Detective Darko Dawson & look forward to reading the next story in the series.

So far, I've purchased Children of The Waters, The Devil Is A Lie, Friends and Fauxs, Heaven Right Here, and Til Death Do Us Part. Of course, I have not read them, but I hope to get to them in the next few weeks! I'll keep you posted!
