Neither trailer made me want to run out and get the book(s)…
Lisa, do you like reading romance novels?
I read both books already and never read a Patricia Sargeant book I didn’t like. I think the trailers did a great job of drawing you in, though I think the first one works a bit better than the second for winning a new reader.
I don’t read romance too much, but I love suspense. These look like great romantic suspense novels, a genre I’m attempting to write myself now. Patricia’s hubbie did a great job on the trailers. They were executed very well as far as graphics and timing! Even the selected music were tasteful choices.
Wow, APOOO! Thank you so much for sharing my book videos on your Web site. I really appreciate your support. And I appreciate everyone taking the time to look at the videos and leave a comment.
Happy reading and writing!

Hi Patricia and thanks for stopping by!
Tell hubby to keep doing what he’s doing.
I’m late as usual….LOL I was actually looking for Djuanna’s blog when I clicked on “Home” for the first time. For some reason I never realized your website was more than the links I click on to get to the blog….another reason why I need to post on the M-L-C topic.
Anyhoo, the site is very nice. As for the two trailers, they are very nice but would not prompt me to buy the book. I am not into romance novels or romance/suspense novels. I have seen similar clips (not as nice) out there and it did not make me want to go out and buy those books either, which were of genre’s I read. I am still of the old school where you go to the bookstore and spend an hour or so reading the books bio.
My question to the author is how do you use the trailers as a marketing tool to reach new readers or advertise to existing fans? I am thinking about doing a virtual book release for my debut novel, but I think that is different from what she has done here. Did she send this out in an email, is it on other marketing material, or is it posted on sites similar to yours, etc?
Khadejah, the videos are posted on YouTube. But, because I’m very proud and excited about them, I shared them with my friends and family. In doing so, I was very fortunate - and very grateful - that APOOO generously helped spread the word about the videos. Word-of-mouth marketing is the best and most successful form of marketing. That’s not just my opinion. Several marketing studies support that theory. That’s what I’ve done with the videos. I’ve shared them with friends who’ve apparently helped spread the word. And I’m very grateful.
Thank you for checking out the videos. Best wishes for success with your debut novel.
