Suggested by Janet:
The opposite of last week’s question: “What’s the best ‘worst’ book you’ve ever read — the one you like despite some negative reviews or features?”
Hmm…I can think of two books that I loved and everyone hated…lol…The Hand I Fan With by Tina Ansa McElroy and Hot Johnny by Sandra Opaku.

I loved The Hand I Fan With, I also liked Dianne McKinney Whetstone’s latest, Trading Dreams at Midnight…there were some love hate issues going on with that one…also Terry McMillans, A Day Late and A Dollar Short…worked for me…but…

I loved the Hand I Fan With! In the vast realm of EJD readers I think I was in the distinct minority because my favorite was Thieves Paradise…

Niambi…yep you stood along for TP…hehe.
Phyllis I enjoyed Getting Mother’s Body Back and I think a number of APOOO members did but I do remember one very vocal lone soldier who just wouldn’t let it go…sigh.
I enjoyed a Day Late and a Dollar Short…and How Stella Got Her Groove Back as well but most people enjoyed the movie more than the book.
Angelia rotflmao about Bliss…hmmm I really like Danyel but Bliss wasn’t written with me in mind…lol.
I liked The Hand I Fan With, Day late and Dollar Short and I am an EJD die hard fan so I have never not liked a book by him.
With that said, alot of poeple did not like Pleasure and I loved it. He did a book signing here in JAX and he said that it was different and more along the line of erotic so I was ready for it.

Lashonda…yeah you’re standing alone for that one also…I still haven’t finished it…hehe.
I loved Getting Mother’s Body and so did Rebecca; she mentioned that book the other day.
I also more than liked Seen it All, Done the Rest. Actually, it was APOOO that complained but my local book club liked it.
The most recent book that almost everyone despised and I more than liked for both emotional reasons and the writing was ………drum roll…….Where the Line Bleeds. I don’t care what y’all say, the book spoke to me on many levels. Oh, in lieu of the review that just came out from Stanley Bennett Clark on Midnight, that was another that a few of us liked and others hated it!

Niecey’s Lullaby by Cris Burke
Yep thought Where the Line Bleeds was just okay…and yep hated Midnight…Stanley Bennett Clay and I just became BFF on this book…lol.
Niecey’s Lullaby…hmmm I can’t even remember what that was about…I think I only gave it a fair rating…lol.

I guess I need to pull my copy of Getting Mother’s Body by Suzanne-Lori Parks, off the shelf since quite a few of you have made mention of it.
