Kathryn, Leya and Summer decide to explore different countries for romance in Taken by Bridget Midway, Yvette Hines and Aliyah Burke. In this anthology, three friends whose idea to go on getaways ends up changing their lives forever. In Stealing The Bride by Yvette Hines, Leya Greenwood decides to take a last minute vacation without telling her friends. After discovering their friend’s plans, Kathryn and Summer realize they cannot change Leya’s mind. Leya lands in Bali and meets Kolby, a scuba diving instructor. Kolby and Leya’s attraction for each other cannot be ignored.
In If You Dare by Aliyah Burke, Kathryn Maynard is an attorney who does not put up with a lot. Kathryn accepts a dare that places her on an Alaskan cruise. Kathryn meets Justin Kapp and sparks fly. Kathryn will not allow Justin into her heart but Justin is persistent. Will Kathryn allow faith to help her open her heart to the possibility of love?
In Carried Away by Bridget Midway, Summer Carter is keeping a secret from her friends. Summer is interested in the BDSM lifestyle so she creates an online personality to satisfy her curiosity. Summer starts an online relationship with Dom but when it comes time to meet Summer does not follow through. Summer decides to get away by taking a vacation in Hawaii. After arriving in Hawaii, Summer meets Xander who sweeps her off her feet. Does Xander dare risk sharing his true identity?
Taken was an interesting anthology of romance and obstacles. These three ladies overcame their fears of finding true love. I believed all three stories had relatable characters, a hint of suspense and passion. I enjoyed the characters stepping out of their comfort zones and it paying off for them. I recommend Taken to others.
