Our past and future are connected by more than just days and hours. Charisse Tyson keeps meeting the wrong man no matter which way she turns. After reading an article about how to stop meeting the wrong type of man, she wants to swear off men; however, it is not as easy as she thought it would be. Charisse decides to pull out her journals dating back to her first serious relationship assessing where things went wrong in each one. In The Bum Magnet by K. L. Brady, Charisse has to dig really deep.

Charisse is a great realtor, but her judge of character when it comes to the men she dates is not so good. The one thing she is missing is a man who makes her happy, but her woman’s instinct always keeps her second-guessing and keeping a careful eye on the men around her. Can the article and her journals lead her to the problem? Or, is having a happily ever after in fairy tales only?

Ms. Brady’s creativity had me laughing-out-loud and shaking my head. There were moments when I wanted to shake some sense into Charisse and the losers she wasted her time with. The message of this book is something everyone can benefit from. I recommend The Bum Magnet to readers looking to laugh while enjoying a well-crafted story.
