During the summer, especially during my middle school/junior high years, neighborhood friends and I would trek to the neighborhood theatre every Tuesday (even in the rain) to see the weekly matinee.

Who’s watching the 2008 Summer Olympics? Opening ceremony is this evening and the family and I will be there front and center along with a few of our friends. Oh yeah, it’s a house party for us…lol. I’ve been into the Olympics for the last 30some years –the summer Olympics that is. Once i realized what the summer Olympics were, I loved watching them. While there are many memorable moments, most of them, like the ones listed below I couldn’t identify with because I wasn’t born when they occured.
