Father, thank you for your grace and mercy that kept me.  I’m here today only because of YOU.

I woke up with a heavy heart this morning…said my morning prayers…turned on the gospel station and I heard this song…I Almost Let Go. 

Right after my mom’s death about seven years ago, I went through the darkest period ever in my ENTIRE LIFE.  But God’s grace and mercy kept me so that I wouldn’t let go.

Things are changing in my life right now and I’m a little pre-occupied but I know that He said–’he would never leave me or forsake me.’  I know that his Word doesn’t return to him void…so I’m standing on his word and claiming the victory in his name.

This song ministered to me this morning…and at one time in my life it was my TESTIMONY…I believe I heard it today for a reason.  It serves as a reminder for me that God kept me…He kept me then and He has me now…NOTHING IS EVER TOO BIG FOR HIM…also, I believe that I’m supposed to share this song with someone else today.

I don’t know what you’re going through…but God does…give it to him and allow him to work out whatever is going on. 

EXPECT A MIRACLE TODAY.

]]> I LOVE this song…it’s an emotional and spirit-filled moment every time I hear it.  Heard it at a homecoming celebration today and it stirred up so many good memories in me…Grateful, Grateful, Grateful…yes in deed!  So many have left us this year and many went before their time, but I’m happy to have been touched by some of them.  Because of them my life has been enriched and will always be the better for it.  And I cannot forget two of the most important people in my life, besides my husband and my kids, this song is also dedicated in their memory and the legacy they left behind.  I’m so grateful to call both of them family for without my grandmother I don’t know where I would be today and growing up my brother was always my shadow…today it’s still hard to imagine that he’s gone and I will never hear his hearty laugh or see his beautiful smile again. xoxo

Recently FoxsNews.com released their version of 40 Hotties–Over 40.  The 40 hottest cougars of 2008.  If women over 40, or in May-December relationships are called cougars, what the heck are old men, with young girlfriends called.  LOL.  Okay, I digressed.  To see who made Fox’s list, CLICK HERE. 

In the number one position was Demi Moore.  Rounding out the Top 10 were:  Halle Berry, Faith Hill, Salma Hayek, Cloris Leachman (yes Cloris beat out Angela Bassett, Tina Turner, Michelle Obama…but they all made the list…just not as high as Cloris), Julia Roberts, Kristen Davis, Fran Dreshcher, Mariska Hargitay, and Teri Hatcher.  Sarah Palin also made the list…she just didn’t make the first female Vice-President of these United States.  Janet Jackson didn’t make the list at all; neither did Regina King, Vanessa Williams or some of your other favorites.  Maybe we should start the Black List…QQ…hmmm I’m just saying.  But, as you peruse the list, I’ll leave you with You’re So Beautiful by Joe Cocker.

]]> Happy Saturday APOOOers!  Today was busy…have been up andout since 7am…felt like I put in a full day at the office…but I didn’t.  I did spend several hours at Lauren’s cheerleading competition in Pittsburgh…they did well and came in 3rd place.  They’re used to coming in 1st or 2nd…but the teams that won were OUTSTANDING and as a spectator I agreed with the judges decisions.  Besides, it will teach our girls not to take anything for granted and to always come with their A game because the other two teams came with it and the ‘tudes…LOL.  Their demeanor’s said…’we got this.’  Heck I felt it…our girls while excellent sometimes don’t appear as confident as other teams…they have that ‘burb in the headlight look’ sometimes rather than that swagger and sophistication that city kids have.  :)

Anywho…after a four hour drive in the rain…we made it back home safely (from Pittsburgh).  Anyone ever spent time in Pittsburgh?  All I can take is if you’re an outsider that is one difficult city to maneuver.  Thank God for Garmin.  LOL.

So…what’s everyone been up today?  Reading, writing, chores, running errands, listening to music?  Tell us about it.  Speaking of listening to music, has anyone heard the song Bust Your Windows by Jasmine Sullivan?  CLICK HERE to listen to it if you haven’t heard it.

I heard the song when it first came out andhear it at least once a day on the radio.  It’s one of those songs that I’m indifferent too…actually I think its just another dumb song…sigh.  LOL.  My husband heard it earlier this week and he came home and asked if we had heard it.  Of course, we all had and wondered why he was so pumped by it.  He laughed and said he didn’t know other than it took balls to make a song with those lyrics.  I don’t know about balls…but I agreed with him that the song was whacked and can we please have some REAL music…lol.  Okay for some folks that song is keeping it real…but do we really need a song about it.  LOL.  I wonder who her target audience is…I’m thinking teens/young adults…way let me back up…can I say scorned woman.  Now what woman has not been scorned.  Question is…how many of us will admit that we ever trashed our ex’s car…lol.  All I’m say if I ever did, and I’ve did a lot of things but I never touched anyone’s ride, I would not make a song about it.  Oh way…snap…shoot…I should have…cause this song is getting a lot of airtime…and Sistah has ringtones…too…she’s GETTING PAID…lol.

I guess the song was also on Jay Anthony Brown’s mind because yesterday he came up with the antidote as he Murdered Another Hit on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.  He was a hoot.  Now his version I LOVED…it was hilarious and I laughed so hard that tears rolled down my face.  LOL.  Did anyone else hear Jay murder Bust Your Windows by Jasmine Sullivan.  CLICK HERE to listen to Jay Anthony Brown’s version…let me know your thoughts.

You bust the windows out the car…it’s a rental car…all the charges are on your credit card…and you carved your initials in the car…told you not to show up at my house unexpected…that was just my sister she was over because she had a fight with her husband…now you got to pay for the damage if you don’t want your credit to go bad.

Rotflmao…this ish is absolutely hilarious…don’t forget to check it out and leave your comments.  Yeah I know the song Bust Your Windows is childish, immature…but I ain’t going to lie…I LOVED J’s comeback  Absolutely brilliant…hehe.
