Angela Smith comes from a family with a rich heritage in culture and wealth, but that does not ensure that life will be a flowery bed of ease. Certainly it does not promise that family secrets will stay hidden forever in author Janice Angelique’s Cloud Cover.
Although Angela and her sister’s inheritance would be given to them before the death of their elderly grandparents, her mother insisted she learn the business from the ground up, spending summers working in the store as a cashier once her teaching position ended for the summer. Angela complied at first, but once she met Martin, her life took another path by choice that did not include the plans her mother had for her.
Masie, Angela’s mother, was determined to maintain control over her daughter’s life, making decisions that would affect her, if only she knew the things that were done behind her back, and the biggest secret that will change her life forever.
It was bad enough that Masie did not approve of Martin even though he was a doctor who accomplished a lot to become one, but will her manipulating ways cause her to lose her daughter forever, or will forgiveness reign and the family stay intact?
I recommend this book to everyone who loves a romance that shares true love, family and forgiveness.
