Clutch your Pearls Girl Blog Tour
Tell us about yourself
My name is Stephanie L. McKenny (www.stephaniemckenny.com) and I’m a native of Montclair, New Jersey, but I now reside in South Carolina. I’m minister, author, entrepreneur, mother and wife. I received my license to preach in 1993 in Newark, NJ. I published my first self-published book in October 2000. Shortly after completing my fourth book, I decided to establish my own self-publishing company called, J & J Publishing (www.jjpublishingonline.com).
Why Clutch Your Pearls, Girl! – Sister Wisdom to Protect Your Heart would make a great addition to our personal library.
I believe my book will be a great asset to those women who purchase and read my book because it will be exposure to them about their value and it will bring exposure to healthy and unhealthy characteristics in relationships and men. It shares straight talk about relationships and I also share some of my own personal experiences in relationships as well.
How did you come up with the premise for your book title?
After reading Matthew7:6, the revelation came to me that many women were casting their pearls before swine. Women, including myself, were settling for mistreatment in relationships and I felt compelled to write some words of wisdom to shine light on that subject so women wouldn’t get ensnared in the wrong kinds of relationships.
My book is not a fiction read. It is non-fiction book. The theme of the book stems from bringing awareness to women about their value and about bringing exposure to them about the right kind of relationships.
What genre is Clutch Your Pearls, Girl! – Sister Wisdom to Protect Your Heart and who is your target audience?
Clutch Your Pearls,Girl! falls under an inspirational, women’s relationship type book. The book is for all women, but has a direct message for single women.
What lessons have you learned about the publishing industry?
I’ve learned that each stage of the publishing industry takes work and time. You must be willing to put in the energy to work what you believe to be the best book you’ve ever written. It is very valuable to learn about the literary industry and to experience the step-by-step process of publishing your own book.
What can readers expect from you in the future?
Readers can experience more straight talk to women to encourage, empower and to bring awareness to them. There are more books in the Clutch Your Pearls, Girl! Series. The second book will be coming out in August. I’m also working on completing a few novels. More information can be found at: www.stephaniemckenny.com
About the Book
Is Mr. Right…Really Right? Some women are caught off guard when they finally find out Mr. Right isn’t so right after all. By then, their heart, mind, and body are already ensnared by an unhealthy relationship.
Relationships are what keep us all connected. Every woman wants a man of her own whether she wants to admit to it or not. We all have an innate desire to love and be loved. However, there are some relationships we should never entertain. Every man that comes into your life doesn’t necessarily deserve access to your heart.
This book is filled with sister wisdom that brings awareness to healthy and unhealthy relations, exposing unhealthy characteristics in men and pointers on helping you become the woman God intended for you to be.
