In Clutch Your Pearls, Girl by Stephanie L. McKenny, readers will find the inspiration to either leave unhealthy relationships or continue to strive in their healthy relationship through the eyes of God. Clutch Your Pearls, Girl gives an in-depth look at the value of pearls and their relation to women’s lives. This 18-chaptered book is full of wisdom guiding women through difficult decisions.
The book has four sections called Perfecting Pearls for Purpose, Displaced Pearls, The Pearl Snatcher, and Pearls in Waiting. My favorite sections of the book were The Pearl Snatcher and Pearls in Waiting. I enjoyed these two sections the most because they go deeper into the relationship side of the book. The Pearl Snatcher explains the issues that arise in relationships and the typical actions a woman will take. Pearls in Waiting, explains that a woman should not rush into anything and that waiting for that special person is the right thing to do. Both sections express the need for knowing one’s worth.
Clutch Your Pearls, Girl is a book of advice and awareness for women. It empowers women to know when they are in an unhealthy relationships and how to improve their healthy relationships. The author provides readers with a clear understanding on how important it is to value yourself and to never let another person steal your joy. I recommend Clutch Your Pearls, Girl to others.
