1  Do you think most relationship wind up like Danny and Vinnys? One person growing away from another or was it inevitable b/c of the interracial dating.

2  Do you believe the Bady boys were justified in tracking down and attempting to kill their dad? Why?

3  Do you think the author did a good job of filling in the blanks? Why and How?

4  Could a society such as the Castle survive in this day and age? Why?

5 – What do you think the cover and title of the book means?

6 – Do you think the Rev got what he deserved for what he did to his kids and their mother? Why?

7 – How do you feel about the age old adage that if you have a drop of ‘black’ in your lineage, you are in the black race. Do you think that is fair?

8 – Do you believe that in years to come, the races will be so intertwined and mixed that the ‘race’ issues will be blurred? (as Virginia Stallworth suggested in the novel)

9 – What was your opinion of Danny?

10 – Do you think that Danny’s choice of friends and women actually contributed to his mother’s demise? Why or Why not?

11 – Initially, did you suspect that Danny’s father had actually pushed his mother down the stairs?
