Dancing With the Stars, Week 9

Come join us this evening at 8PM EST as we countdown to the final weeks of Dancing With the Stars. It’s getting hot now…so who’s going home this week? I’m thinking Ty…but he seems to have a strong following…so if Melissa is still injured…she might want to be concerned.
So don’t forget to grab your favorite drink and snack and join us later as we discuss/chat Dancing With the Stars.
Tonight:
Lil Kim/Derek: Waltz. Was having dinner so I couldn’t type. LOL. Predicted Score: 25 Actual Score: 25. This dance didn’t quite do it for me either.
Shawn/Mark: Quickstep. Len said it was fun, carefree, saw Shawn’s personality. Said the middle needed work. Bruno said great delivery, footwork…yes she broke the hold. CarrieAnn said she thinks this week was her best dance ever but she broke the rules so she has to take off a point. Predicted Score: 27 ACTUAL Score: 27. Breaking the rules hurt them.
Melissa/Tony: Viennese Waltz. Bruno said she really used her arms like an angel…the picks and turns…it was beautiful. CarrieAnne…said that she’s fluid but she sometimes comes across as up and down. Len likes the fluidity but he’s still not a big fan of her feet. Predicted Score: 27 ACTUAL Score: 27…judges scoring is getting more predictable (based on their comments).
Ty/Chelsie: Argentine Tango. Ty really tries hard…gotta give it to him he has balls…hehe. Bruno said you won’t let anyone down with strenght and determination. CarrieAnne said he’s come so far…but he lacks breath in his motions. Len said Ty captured the flavor…and although he’s not a dancer he comes out and produces his best dance. Predicted Score: 25 Actual Score: 25…yep figured Len would give him a 9. They’ll be back later this evening with the Rumba.
Gilles/Cheryl: Foxtrot. Len liked presentation but said he needed to occasionally straighten his legs. Bruno loved it…looked sophisticated and cool. CarrieAnn said that the performance would take them into the semi-finalists; great job. Predicted Score: 29 Actual Score: 29 yeah!
Everybody has to be on the top of their game in order to make it into next week’s semi-finalist.
On to the second set of dance routines.
Melissa/Tony Samba. Len thinks she should be there next week. Bruno said her Samba should make her happy to be alive. Carrie Anne said she can take the week off…FLAWLESS. Predicted Score: 29 (hmmm but could be a 30). ACTUAL Score: 30…dayum (not sure I thought it was all that…but I’m not a judge…hehe) total score 57 out of 60.
Gilles/Cheryl: Samba. CarrieAnne thought the beginning was a bit old…wth is she talking about…she thought he was over the top. Len said it looked fantastic…but he didn’t like rolling across the floor at the end. Bruno’s not standing up…oh wait there he is…but he thought it was a bit uneven by Gilles usual standards. Predicted Score: 28; ACTUAL Score: 27. Thought he might have squeaked out a 10 from Bruno…no such luck. Total Score: 56.
Ty and Chelsie: Rumba. Len said it had charm…said the first dance he was a peacock this one he was a feature duster. Bruno said he’s one of the most likable contestants they’ve ever had…CarrieAnne said she wish could just score him on how much he’s improved…but it sounds like it’s the end of the road for Ty. Predicted Score: 23; ACTUAL Score: 21. Oops worse than I expected. Total Score: 46 (out of 60).
Shawn and Mark: Paso Doble. Pretty good. CarrieAnne said it’s a very difficult song to do a Paso…’but girlfriend you delivered…it was wonderful…shape was dynamic.’ Len loved the solo part…great footwork but it wasn’t over exciting. Bruno said you showed us that you’ve got the killer instinct…you scored big. Predicted Score: 29 ACTUAL Score: 29….on the money again. Both dances: 56 (out of 60).
Lil Kim and Derek: Salsa. Was eating…couldn’t write comments. Predicted Score: 27 Actual Score: 27.

I am so seeing Gilles and Cheryl in the finals.
I’m back…was eating dinner. Knew based on the comments that Lil Kim wasn’t going to do very well with that dance. Gilles didn’t give me goosebumps but he and Cheryl did well.
I think that Gilles is definitely in the final two.
Melissa & Tony were good, but I don’t like her. And her outfit makes me think of “I Dream of Jeanie.” I predict 27.
