Adam and Evia Langston have been in wedded bliss for the last 16 years. They met when they were young teens and have been together ever since. They came from humble roots and have worked their way up to living the good life. All is perfect in their world, until Adam loses his high-paying job. Trying to stay afloat on just Evia’s income has taken its toll. They start to lose the house, their cars, and do not know where to turn.

Evia’s boss, Shay Shaunte’, knows of their woes and makes them an offer of FIVE MILLION DOLLARS; one that she thinks they can NOT refuse. Now the Langstons toy with accepting the money and getting their family back on track or sticking to their morals and possibly losing everything they have worked so hard for. What will they do?

Murray never lets me down. She so eloquently knows how to tell a story without being preachy but still able to deliver a great message. Normally that message is on faith and this one displays how your faith can be tested to the highest. The topic was so risky, it definitely had me thinking “What would I do?” There were surprises all the way up until the very end. I highly recommend this page-turner.
