The acknowledgement in the front of Electa Rome Parks’ newest release, Diary of a Stalker, states it has been two years since her last literary offering. Well, she came back with a bang. Ms. Parks has penned a fast-paced, seductive, hot and steamy book. When I opened the bold, red cover with the piercing brown eyes, I stepped into the world of Pilar.
Pilar claims that she is the number one fan of bestselling author, Xavier Preston. Something about Xavier captures her heart through his stories and his kindness toward his readers. Because Xavier is sexy and tall, he believes that he can hit it, then quit it. However, what Xavier cannot see is her determination to have him as her man, no matter the cost. Everyone of Xavier’s actions triggers a reaction from Pilar. Are all of her reactions healthy for either of them? Will one of them regret any of their decisions?
Aside from one of the main characters sharing a name with my son, there were also some other minute details that made me smile. Everything from the settings to the characters’ believability and the strong subject matter had me wanting more. I could not turn the pages fast enough in an attempt to figure out whose life would be forever changed due to compulsive behaviors. Ultimately, a great example of how a stalker behaves and thinks is delivered through the pages of Diary of a Stalker, a book I recommend to readers of erotica and suspense.
I received this book for review purposes from the author.
