DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. What do you think about the way the plane crash affected Steven, Janet, Carter, Michael, Avery, and Kimberly?
2. Do you blame Sean for letting Haley trick him by sleeping with him, or is he just a victim of her evil ways?
3. Do you blame Michael or Kimberly for the disintegration of their marriage, and whom do you blame for the damage to the children?
4. Did you think Steven and Janet were right to interfere with Michael’s marriage in the way they did, by forcing his hand in a divorce?
5. Were you surprised at Michael’s offer to Kimberly at the end of the book?
6. Did you think Avery should have resisted Carter more, or was their reunion inevitable?
7. Why do you think Haley still has it in for Taylor Jackson?
8. Did you believe Carter wanted to change his ways, or was it all still more trickery and manipulation to get Avery?
9. How do you feel about the way Carter treated Julia?
10. Do you think Haley’s offer to help Sean by stealing the USB stick from Garrett’s law firm was genuine, or just a way to save herself from her father’s wrath?
11. What were the dynamics of Michael and Steven’s relationship
in this novel? Was Steven being too hard on him? Why does what their father think matter so much
more to Michael than to Carter?
12. Was Avery right to stay with Anthony in the end?
13. What do you think Carter has in mind with the engagement to Julia? Do you see a custody battle in the future?
14. What did you think about Haley’s surprise announcement of her marriage at the end? There were very few hints in the book of something important about Sydney. What do you think she’s up to?
