DIVAS, DIAMONDS & DOLLARS is three short stories by three of the hottest diva’s in urban literature: Anna J, Anya Nicole and Angel Mechelle. Each author brings their own flavor to this anthology.

A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND by Anya Nicole was the best story in the book. Diamonds are truly this girl’s best friend. When Lavender meets Ahmad her life is dramtically changed. Lavender is living the good life, gone are the days of “working” for her money. Ahmad takes care of her by buying her anything and the best that money can buy. Unfortunately, Ahmad’s business is falling apart and he is about to lose everything he worked hard for. That is, until Lavender decides to help him out and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that she truly is a ride or die chick.

ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND by Anna J is a story of trust and betrayal. Kima and T-Bone have been dating for awhile. Kima is very insecure when it comes to her girl, T-Bone. T-Bone is all about making the money by setting up the local thugs around the way. When T-Bone brings Kima into the mix, one set-up goes terribly wrong, leaving T-Bone to question Kima’s loyalty.

POPPIN’ E by Angel Mechelle was the second best story in the book. India Jones works at the local bar, where she meets Ejay Reyes, he introduces her to another way of living. Poppin’ E gives her a high unlike any other. It has her cheating on her man and selling E, making money hand over fist. When she starts dipping more into his supply she starts coming up short on his cash, India realizes she has a big problem on her hand. She needs to get Ejay his money someway or another, the question is how?

DIVAS, DIAMONDS & DOLLARS by Anna J, Anya Nicole and Angel Mechelle was a great collaboration of authors. The main pet peeve I have over this book was that Anna J, left her story to be continued. I am already not a fan of short stories but to leave a short story hanging is ridiculous. Already I see this must be the new trend because a few other authors have been doing this. I am here to tell you it is not a good look. Short stories are short stories for a reason–it is a short story, so end it!
