While reading and rereading the monologues in The Everyday Living of Children and Teen Monologues II by Adra Young, I was transported back to my childhood. As I read, I found myself reading out loud, remembering those times when I was in a play or a program and how I swallowed down fear to stand before an audience. It also reminded me of the sense of accomplishment once I was done. This book is wonderful in the way the author set up different scenes, providing the reader with whatever was needed to make the scene work, such as props and timing instruction.

Volume II is broken into three different sections; sections that would appeal to young women, young men, and a section that should be universally appealing. The dialogue is a user-friendly, realistic tone. I feel this book will offer hours of fun to young people who are interested in acting as a possible career and those who enjoy social interactions with their peers. Drama classes would benefit from having The Everyday Life of Children and Teens Monologue Volume II as part of the curriculum. I recommend this to children, young adults, educators and aspiring actors.
