  2. Surprisingly, I’m on track! I’ve completed:

    The True History of Paradise by Margaret Cezair-Thompson
    We’ll Never Tell by Kayla Perrin
    Lay This Body Down: The 1921 Murders of Eleven Plantation Slaves by Gregory A. Freeman
    Trading Dreams at Midnight by Diane McKinney-Whetstone
    Miracle at St. Anna by James McBride
    The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd — will finish tonight
    Sweetsmoke by David Fuller

    So I stuck with my plan pretty closely…and will probably complete about ten books for August — I’m happy with my choices.

  3. I didnt provide a list but I managed to read Gather Together In My Name by Tracy Price-Thompson and you need to add to your list if you havent read it. Its a 5 out of 5 for me. Im now reading Walter Mosley Blonde Faith.Up next James McBride Song Yet Sung

  5. I have completed Things Forbidden and House of Secrets. I’m almost finished with Vegas Bites: Three of a Kind. I’ve started all the other ones. I still have time to finish 3 of them.

  7. I am doing good. So far I have completed 7 out of the 11 I had on my list. I should have the eighth one, Trading Dreams at Midnight completed tonight or tomorrow. I am enjoying this one. Yall had me a little worried about this one.

  8. Whew.. I did not submit a list but I do know that the books I set aside to read I have not touched yet.. I was slowed down with two of my review books. Thus far, I have read:

    Taken by Storm – Rochelle Alers
    Ila’s Diamonds –
    Dido’s Prize – Eugenia O’Neal
    Trading Dreams at Midnight- D. Whetstone

    this is not a good month :-(

  12. I didn’t post a list either, but I managed to squeak out one book so far…Passin’ by Karen Quinones Miller. Good read. Now, I’m on Murder on the Down Low, which I hope to finish b4 the month is out. :-)

  14. I’ve read Sweetsmoke and Dark, Light. and added a romance review book by Shirley Hailstock. I jope to get back on track and finish these hear on the list. My list was actually much longer but no way am I going to get to all of them. My daughter is still reading Pleasure, complaining while reading it.
