Freak Unleashed by Cindy Cox tells a tale of a love gone wrong. Kendall Stevens wakes up one morning to a note left by her husband of seven years, David, telling her he is leaving to look for happiness elsewhere. What is a woman to do when she sacrifices all she knows for the man of her dreams? Kendall is lost and distraught as she tries to work through the pain of losing her husband and finding her own happiness.

Johanna is a lying, back-stabbing co-worker who will stop at nothing until she witnesses Kendall’s demise. While sabotaging files and attempting to steal Kendall’s husband, it appears that Johanna might have to answer some questions of her own from the Human Resources Department. Will Johanna’s plan backfire and is her job in jeopardy?

Felicia and Isabella are two of Kendall’s closet friends and while they are there for her in every way, they too have their own drama. While one of these lovely ladies cannot keep a man, the other struggles to be the ultimate wife and mother. These women share a common bond and are solely looking for happiness and good men to stand by them.

Can David and Kendall get back what they once had, or is Kendall too far gone; now that her hidden passions have been unleashed?

My rating is a three because there was not enough character development and the story took a long time to heat up. There was more discussions about the status of her marriage as opposed to her unleashing her inner passions. I recommend this book to readers of all genres and ladies who are looking for a little spice in their lives.
