Take a ride with D.K. Gaston’s novel, THE FRIDAY HOUSE. Special Agent Jamaica Kurtz just returned from a six-month medical leave. On her first assignment, she was requested to assess a psychological profile of two dead terrorists. Although she was assured that neither one of these killers had anything to do with each other, she soon realizes they do.
With her new clairvoyant abilities, Jamaica seems to see things that others do not. Seemingly insignificant details lead to clues that the CIA does not want found. When an old friend of Jamaica’s, who works in the CIA, shows up out the clear blue, insisting on helping Jamaica with her assignment, she is all too happy. Unfortunately this friend has a hidden agenda.
Larry David aka “LD” Westerman is drugged and kidnapped. Luckily he manages to escape. Not sure of why or whom is behind the kidnapping he goes to the NYPD and seeks the help of detective Raymond Kilgore. Little does LD realize that everything he once knew… is all but a lie. Their discoveries lead them to an orphanage called THE FRIDAY HOUSE. This is not your typical orphanage though.
THE FRIDAY HOUSE by D.K. Gaston makes for a great summer read. Although, there are too many characters with not enough character development and it was hard to keep some of the characters straight. Overall, I liked the plot and the storyline, even though I figured out early on who the culprit was. All in all, it was a very good book. With the writing styles of the great James Patterson, Mr. Gaston is an author you will surely enjoy reading.
