APOOO Rating: 4
Amazon Rating: 4
Evangeline “Angel” Crawford is a sassy and confident bounty hunter. Angel wants nothing more than to get out of the dangerous field to be able to care for her daughter. But as a single mom she needs this job to bring in the dollars to take care of her child. Angel definitely has a GOOD EXCUSE TO BE BAD when her twin sister, Ava, gets caught up in a nasty murder case. Angel has to rely on her former reporter skills to find out what really happened. Not to mention this tragic incident brings her close to her gorgeous pastor, Justus Morgan. He insists on helping her solve the case. But she quickly finds out that he wants a lot more than to just help her with the investigation. She digs into the details of the case, and he digs into the details of Angel’s past. Will Angel be able to get the charges dropped against her sister, Ava? Will Angel get over herself and allow Justus to love her?
Parker delivers a fast-paced thriller with her first novel. You are immediately drawn in and gripped by the story. It was a great mingling of romance and suspense. The characters are intriguing and I wanted/needed to finish this book in a hurry to find out what really happened. Parker sets us up for the beginning of this series. You will definitely want to read more. I recommend this book for lovers of romance and mysteries alike.
