I LOVE this song…it’s an emotional and spirit-filled moment every time I hear it.  Heard it at a homecoming celebration today and it stirred up so many good memories in me…Grateful, Grateful, Grateful…yes in deed!  So many have left us this year and many went before their time, but I’m happy to have been touched by some of them.  Because of them my life has been enriched and will always be the better for it.  And I cannot forget two of the most important people in my life, besides my husband and my kids, this song is also dedicated in their memory and the legacy they left behind.  I’m so grateful to call both of them family for without my grandmother I don’t know where I would be today and growing up my brother was always my shadow…today it’s still hard to imagine that he’s gone and I will never hear his hearty laugh or see his beautiful smile again. xoxo

Grateful by Hezekiah Walker

I am grateful for the things that You have done
I am grateful for the victories we’ve won
I could go on and on about your works
Because I’m grateful, grateful so grateful just to praise You Lord
Flowing from my heart are the issues of my heart, is gratefulness
(Repeat)

Grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful
Grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful
Grateful, grateful, grateful
Gratefulness is flowing from my heart(9x)

Flowing from my heart
Are the issues of my heart,
is gratefulness

  1. I don’t know what led me to the site today as I only sat down at the computer to turn it off. I saw this post and now feel blessed. It’s a reminder of the things I should be thankful about so that I won’t dwell on depressing things.

  3. I’ve been on this site a number of times and I didn’t see this post! I guess it was meant for me to see today as a special blessing. I love this song. Every time our church choir sings it, it brings tears to my eyes. God is so good. I’m grateful He loves me in spite of who I am.
