Nothing is Too Hard For God Blog Tour
C. M. Jones is well on her way to becoming a household name. She has just completed her second publication, Nothing Is Too Hard for God, and launched a publishing company with her family, HortonJonesInc., that also mentors young writers. In addition she has begun to offer writing seminars and motivational speaking services. When asked about her endeavors, C. M. Jones has said that writing and mentoring is her ministry and she does it all to the glory of God.
Her debut novella, I Still Do, which was published through Author House but is now apart of the HortonJones, Inc. portfolio, sold thousands of copies in the United States and abroad. This Christian ficton writer indeed is no stranger to writing creative and inspiring stories. She began writing at the young age of eight years old while acting in her elementary school drama club. C. M. Jones has written countless poems, musicals and short stories that include themes of redemption, forgiveness and a real picture of the things that can happen in life, when you have faith in Jesus Christ.

Would you say you are an extrovert or introvert?
I am a little bit of both sometimes I I hold everything in but when I am extremely comfortable I say exactly what’s on my mind.
Do you like to cook? If so, what are your favorite dishes to cook?
I love to cook it is very relaxing for me. My favorite dishes to cook are Curry chicken, green beans, fried chicken, pineapple upside down cake, lasagna and… I don’t really know where to stop.
Are you a sports fan? If so, tell us about your favorite sports and/or sports team.
I am indeed a Sports fan. I love football, basketball and boxing. I like the Ravens simply because I am from Baltimore, Maryland but I love the Dallas Cowboys they have always been a really good team. They are consistent. In basketball I just have favorite players because the game just hasn’t been the same since Michael Jordan left the NBA. Allen Iverson is good, Gary Payton, and a few others but Michael Jordan is my all time favorite. In boxing I love the old fights such as Muhammad Ali, Buster Douglas and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Are there any other hobbies you wish to share?
I love to mentor teenagers. I am not sure if that’s a hobby so much as an interest but I just absolutely adore working with teenagers.
What movie(s) have you watched recently that you would recommend?
Well I live in Germany and we get all of the movies here almost a month after they are out in the states. However there was a German premiere here for The Princess and The Frog and I took my daughters. It was awesome. The kids loved the movie and I did as well. The story of this princess is one that embodies the essence of who we are as African Americans. I would recommend it to all parents for their kids male and female.
Do you like books being turned into a movie? If so, what is your favorite book-to-movie?
Yes, I love to see books turned into a movie that is what I hope to do with my books as well. My favorite book turned into a movie is tied between, How Stella Got her Groove Back and The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. Both of these movies stay true to the events of the books.
If Nothing Is Too Hard For God was turned into a movie who would you cast to play your characters?
This is an easy question for me because I have thought a lot about this. I would have Gabrielle Union play the role of Deborah, Gina Torres (from I Think I love My Wife) play the role of Leslie and Sofia Vergara (from Tyler Perry’s movie Meet The Brown’s) play the role of Karen.
Which social networks do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy using Face Book and My Space. I have yet to try Twitter.
What’s next for you?
I am completing my third book which is also a novel, He Left Me, and it’s about a family from Ghana West Africa that faces woes as they try to leave Africa and make a new life for themselves in the United States. The main character is beautiful women named Tete, she and her husband have been married since the age of 12. Kenu, her husband ,comes to America and is now tired of “the married life”. His decisions as well as hers begin to affect their six children and bring back some awful things from the previous generations in both of their families. There is a preview of this story in the back of; Nothing Is Too Hard For God. He Left Me, will be released November 2010.
I am also helping my children put together their first children’s book as well as continuing to build my publishing company, HortonJones, Inc. and traveling to speak at different events and teach writing seminars.
About the Book
Nothing Is Too Hard for God is the sequel to the novella I Still Do. These three best friends are back to take you on a journey through their past and into their future. This book is full of truth, faith and testaments to what God can do when we submit our lives to Him. Do you want to know how God brought Deborah through her haunted past and into His saving grace? Would you like to know why Damien was disloyal to Karen and if their marriage can really survive after his affair? Last, but not least, if you want to know how Leslie’s heart went from being as cold as stone to being full of love, then you must read Nothing is too hard for God. Just when you think you have it all figured out, this novel will take another turn.
