In the fourth installment of The Heart Series, Iris Bolling has stepped up her game in A Heart Divided. Jeffrey “JD” Harrison and his wife, Tracy, are now the proud parents of two children. Accepting his new position as Attorney General, JD is more determined to rid the State of Virginia of criminals. In order to do that he has to first bring down his nemesis, Police Chief Wilbert T. Munford.
Willbert Munford wants to be the Mayor of Richmond. With cops and gang members on his private payroll, Munford will stop at nothing to guarantee that he is the top candidate. Yet, to ensure that the position belongs to him, he has to eliminate the one person that knows his secret, Al Day. In order to find Al, he has to go through JD. JD had to figure out who he could trust and depend on in order to bring down Munford; while at the same time, focus on his political career and family.
Bolling brings her readers a new twist. A Heart Divided is full of mystery, drama, suspense, romance, humor and passion. Bolling gives a detailed description inside the life of political candidates and the complexities and difficulties it has on family and friends. I found myself sitting on edge with each page. I would consider this the best book in the series.
