Cynthia Thornton, co-owner of TNT Event Planners, would be described as beautiful, smart, talented and witty. But, if you asked any woman to describe her, they would simply call her a [...]. Cynthia admits that she has slept with her share of men but that was in her past. After an affair with the newly-elected governor and being a bridesmaid for her friends, Cynthia made a vow of celibacy until she could find a Prince of her own. In the third installment of the Heart Series, Look Into My Heat, Iris Bolling shows that love will capture you when you least expect it.

Cynthia is determined to marry someone of statue and wealth. After meeting Prince LaVere`, who showered her with gifts, she knew she would have everything she has ever wanted. Cynthia also knew a secret and someone was willing to kill her to make sure that she kept it. To keep her safe, Samuel Lassiter, former CIA operative, was assigned to protect her. Samuel was not happy with this particular assignment. Trying to keep a sexy, opinionated woman safe would be difficult. Yet, Samuel knew the first time he saw her that someone needed to protect him from falling for her.

Bolling weaves an interesting tale of romance and political suspense. Cynthia learned the difference between love for material things and love of the heart. There were many returning characters and many new ones that will make you laugh out loud. Bolling has definitely grown as a writer and makes it a point to take her time to tell the entire story. The only distracting feature was editing. However, since I was so engrossed in the story, it was ok, for me, to overlook some of them. I would recommend this series for anyone that enjoys romance mixed with a little suspense.
