Darnetta Frazier, APOOO’s resident queen of urban fiction reads and reviews, has been getting her read on this month in a no-holds bar fashion. She’s fast and furious and has posted a couple of reviews recently for new/debut urban fiction authors. Here’s her latest buzz for Betrayed by David Givens.

Debut author David Givens shows just how much loyalty there is in the street game with his novel, Betrayed. As head of GMC, Darrell Jenkins plans to control the streets of Waterloo, Iowa. With the monsterious Terry Law as his sidekick, there is no way anyone could deny his claim to fame. And even when Lady Luck disguised as stripper Sherrice Valdez, came into the picture, Darrell knew it could only get better because he was not looking for love, but it found him. And it was real. Or was it? Betrayed shows just how sketchy the line is when you mix love, loyalty, and loot.
