Kareenie Beanie and the Circle of Royale by Tiffany C. Hill is the cutest little book for young readers. Kareenie and her family live on the island of Royale. However, Kareenie is afraid of the ocean. When her family disappears after a storm, Kareenie decides to stare fear in the face and go save them. On the journey, Kareenie conquers more than just her fear of the ocean.
Through Kareenie’s adventure the reader will learn the meaning of friendship, the importance of overcoming a fear and a few other lessons. The illustrations done by Nancy M. Miller were cute and fit the story. The characters resembled those in the story. Kareenie Beanie and the Circle of Royale is the perfect story for a parent to read with their child or an older child to read to a younger sibling.
