Keep the Faith (Bon Jovi…Really)

APOOO family and friends…WELCOME TO ANOTHER WEEK!
Hopefully this week will be MUCH BETTER than last week. Many of us witnessed something that we never thought we would see during our lifetime…the almost collapse of the US financial system. For many it was a wake-up call and a scary feeling. The worse isn’t behind us yet…and for many of us it will require tightening our belts and forgoing wants and unfortunately some of our needs.
CNN Morning conducted a survey where they asked “What are you giving up” because of the economy. The usual answers included eating out, cable, movies, buying a new car, purchasing a new home, kids allowances, et al. One woman even mentioned renter’s insurance. NO, NO don’t do it…if you think you’re bad off now…what if a catastrophe occurs and your property is destroyed…now what?
If my grandparents and parents were alive, they would say KEEP THE FAITH, PRAY and focus on your blessings. So, in honor of our ancestors, name one thing that you’re thankful for today. I’ll start it off and then I’ll ask each of you to leave a comment with something DIFFERENT. Despite what’s going on around us, hopefully we will KEEP THE FAITH and find a bright spot in the midst of blight.
To bring a little sunshine or smile…or LOL moment your way…here’s some freebies.
First, the Boni Jovi video…I perused YouTube to find an inspirational/gospel video that included the word Faith. Guess what video was the first to come up? Yep, Keep the Faith by Bon Jovi. Now, I am familiar with Bon Jovi’s music, but they were the last group that I was looking for an ‘inspirational’ tune from. I am including it here for your listening pleasure (or not). If you can think of any other songs that include ‘Faith’ in the title, please send them my way.
