Kayla Perrin and Brenda Mott joined forces to bring readers their first novel, How to Kill a Guy in 10 Days. Raised in Miami, Lexie Muller and Hailey McGraw were high school friends, who separated after graduation. After her divorce, Hailey returned to Miami and by chance, she bumps into Lexie, who has become a super, sexy commercial model. The two friends decide to spend the night out in the hottest club in town, Fantasies, an exotic strip club, to celebrate their friendship. As the two head to the waffle house, after the party, they stumble across one of the dancers in the bushes behind the club. And the mystery begins to unfold.
Perrin and Mott created characters that were smart, funny, nosey, and likable. Lexie and Hailey were a cross between Cagney and Lacey and Lucy and Ethel. I could not wait to see what these two friends would discover next. I laughed out loud at all of their antics and eagerly turned each page. This book is definitely for the mystery buff and I hope there will be others to follow.
