From author Bettye Griffin…news regarding her upcoming release, A New Kind of Bliss by Bettye Griffin.  Sounds HOT, can’t wait to get my greedy little hands on it.

After her father’s death, Emily Yancy agrees to move back to the dead-end town she grew up in.  But she’s dreading every minute she’ll have to spend in her mother’s tiny apartment.  After all, she’s a forty-three-year-old divorcée who’s been doing just fine on her own.

There are some rewards for dutiful daughters, though – like Aaron Merritt, a rich, single doctor with chocolate skin and bedroom eyes.  Soon he’s taking Emily to fancy restaurants and inviting her to meet his family.  But when the lights go out, something’s missing.

Enter Teddy Simms, Emily’s eighth-grade crush.  Teddy hasn’t achieved what Aaron has – but she soon learns that he’s picked up a few skills in other areas.  Can Emily choose a relationship that doesn’t satisfy her mind – or an easy compatibility that doesn’t quite extend into the bedroom?  Or is there some way that she can find the best of both worlds?

Adding to the mix (because you can only fit so much info on a blurb) is a sort-of friend who has had a lifelong rivalry with Emily and who would like nothing more than to snag Aaron for her very own.  Emily’s efforts to juggle her love life become a lot trickier once she’s under the watchful eye of her rival, who’s just waiting to get her hands on something she can use to bust up the budding romance and move in.

The idea for this book came to me while I was reading a contemporary romance with a hero who looks great, has lots of money and makes the earth move for the heroine.  I asked myself, “What would happen if a woman met the man of her dreams but he was a washout in the bedroom?”  The answer to that, as any romance reader knows, is a story that would never appear in a romance but is great for women’s fiction.  Therefore, I proudly bring you A New Kind of Bliss.
