Jasmine is back…again! Victoria Christopher Murray’s LADY JASMINE brings back the woman we love to hate, Jasmin Larson Bush. Jasmine and her husband, Hosea, are living the good life until his father is in a tragic accident. With his father, Rev. Bush, unable to pastor City of Lights, Hosea has to step in as interim pastor. And that means that Jasmine is now the First Lady. She could not be more ecstatic. All of her lies are behind her and she is now living a wonderful life with her husband and their daughter, Jacquie. But are all of her lies really behind her? A blackmailer threatens to ruin all that the Bushes have worked so hard to achieve. Jasmine conveniently forgot a major piece of her past. This lie could not only affect Jasmine, but her husband and City of Lights as well. Should she tell Hosea the truth? Will she revert back to her old ways to cover up this lie?

Murray has such a way with telling her story. The twists and turns make for an unexpected edge to the story. You so want for Jasmine to finally get it right. But you know deep down that she will always be that woman that will have her past to haunt her. Murray is one of my favorite authors and will stay that way. I recommend this book to all of Murray’s fans and to those looking for an entertaining read.

  5. I just finished reading Lady Jazmine last night. I am not an avid reader but the moment I bought Lady Jazmine at Walmart I couldn’t put it down. Donnica’s review is all what she said and even more. I am starting a book club soon and this book will be the first one on my list. This should be made into a movie. This is a must read!

  6. Lady Jasmine is my offline book club’s July BOM. There were several humorous scenes in the book. Spoiler alert – I laughed out loud when Jasmine added to the church announcements her request that all address her as Lady Jasmine. I can’t wait to discuss the books with others.
