Lakeda: A Kiss of Erotica by Stephanie Johnson is more than a little kiss of erotica, it is a full-fledged dip into Lakeda’s wild and take-no-prisoners lifestyle. Lakeda is a bad girl and not one to play with. She is a woman that says what she wants and gets what she wants, no questions asked. Male or female, makes no difference, if she wants you, she gets you and will have you wanting more. Lakeda plays it hard, leaving a trail of broken hearts and shattered egos chasing behind her. After a time of putting it on other men’s girlfriends and other girl’s boyfriends and discarding them when she is done, she leaves a whole bunch of chaos in her midst. Not one to be concerned with it, she puts it all behind her when she meets Brian. It seems Brian is just like her, a perfect match for her sexual desires. Before she even realizes it, she is so sprung she will do whatever and whomever he tells her. She thinks she has found the one in Brian, but little does she know he is about to give it to her just like she dished it out.
Lakeda: A Kiss of Erotica was a very fast-paced read. Definitely a story to keep you turning pages to find out what happens next. The novel is well-written and leaves nothing to the imagination. I admit there were times when I wanted to smack some of the secondary characters for the way they handled some situations or Lakeda herself, but I guess it all makes for good drama which this novel had plenty. I was a little disappointed with the ending as I am not sure how Lakeda got what she deserved; seems to me she just got more of what she likes. But it looks as though there may be a sequel in Johnson’s future and I am curious to find out what Lakeda does next.
