I had never heard of this story until yesterday.
I am a white female and I am apalled at the actions that took place back in earlier years. Last time I checked Jesus died on the cross for ALL COLORS.
White men, women and or any other nationality are NO better than black, islanders, Africian American. It is 2010, Wake up people.

Hmmmm, you learn something new everyday. Never heard of her or her story until today. I will go add the book to my wish list over at Amazon. Movies like this makes me so angry that I end up looking cock-eyed at certain folks for weeks. It looks powerful.

I want to see it. I also want to read the story. That trailer made me feel awful. I can’t understand why that man kept going back to get her knowing it was against the law. I presume she must have killed him, and that’s why she was sentenced to death by the electric chair.

Yes Jennifer she killed him and I really detest that he put her life in danger…he really had no respect for her…but then again I have to remember times were different then (and sometimes I question just how much has changed now…sigh).
