Donna is a multi-published author with more than fifty titles in print since the release of her first novel in 1990. Three of her novels were adapted for television. Donna grew up and still lives in Brooklyn, New York where she’s raised her three children. While working on her many novels she’s held several positions in both the public and private sectors. For nearly a decade she worked in the non-profit arena managing a residential facility for homeless teen mothers and their children before moving onto a position as Executive Director for the Brooklyn Teen Pregnancy Network, which was followed by ten years at the Queens Library as publicist and program coordinator. She is currently a writer at the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President. In between books and work and family, she still finds time to teach an Elders Writing Workshop, sponsored by Medgar Evers College and Poets & Writers. And of course there is always time for a little romance with her long -time love who still makes her heart skip a beat.
As CEO of an event-planning company, sultry siren Mia Turner deftly navigates the corporate boardroom. No one would ever guess she’s also an undercover agent for The Ladies Cartel. TLC is a clandestine organization that operates under the guise of selling Tender Loving Care body products-but their true mission is crime-fighting.
Living a double life can be stressful, especially when Mia is dating sexy architect Steven Long. As she vigilantly attempts to identify the players in what could be the biggest sex scandal the city has seen in decades, Steven begins to suspect that she is stepping out on him. Mia gets caught in a web of lies and scandal that threatens to tear her relationship apart.
Love Throughout the Ages … Literally by Donna Hill
I don’t particularly consider myself a “romantic,” which may be hard for many to accept since I do write romances. LOL Although I may not be a romantic in the “traditional” sense, I do believe in “soulmates.” That one person that is destined for you an only you. Not everyone is blessed to find that person who totally completes them, who without them in your life it would be less like living.
When I was nineteen years old, I met my soulmate. Of course I didn’t realize it then and it took me many years, other relationships, marriage and children to realize that what I had been running from was a power greater than me–my one true love.
At the time, he was everything I believed I should stay away from. (That is another story). He was the guy that everyone else wanted. And for reasons that we still laugh about today, he chose the “skinny, square, that wore glasses and read books.”
But my strict Catholic school upbringing and what I’d been brought up to believe was “the right guy” kept getting in the way. So as much as my heart longed to be with him, illogic won out. We stayed together, broke up, got back together, disappeared out of each others lives but always found our way back.
No matter how hard I tried and what relationship I was in, deep inside I knew that something was missing. It was him. It took many years, and many false starts for me to shed my apprehensions and stop running from that feeling that was so strong that it terrified me with its awesomeness.
Now, more than thirty years later, I’ve given into the power, allowed it to fill my soul. When we talk there is so much history, so many memories and what always amazes us both is that even before we knew each other, we in fact were circling each other–living in the same neighborhoods, going to the same clubs, traveling in the same circles–but several years apart because of our five year age difference. It was as if, even before we knew each other, the stars were lining up for us to be prepared for each other when the time was right.
Well, the time is right. And there is no greater man/woman love than finding it with the one that was created just for you!

I love the line about the stars lining up for when the time is right. I’m a firm believer that what is for you will find you, no matter how long, when or where.
