Vanessa Richardson is an author, poet, and playwright. Vanessa has written several stage productions and have been blessed to perform them at various venues. Her stage productions includes: Someone To Love Me, Why Do Bad Things Happens To Good People?, Lord, I Don’t Understand, and The Fullness Of Time.

Vanessa wrote her freshman nonfiction inspirational novel titled, The Certain Ones. A spiritual impacting novel that inspires her readers to know that not everyone are called into greatness. Fact: Many can not handle the process that goes along with becoming great. Only the certain ones, who endures; can obtain destined greatness. Would you say you are an extrovert or introvert?

I would have to say that I am definitely an extroverted introvert type of gal. While I love meeting new and interesting people, and excitingly enough people gravitate towards me, engaging me in (sometimes) great conversation! There are those moments when I am meditative and just want to be in a quiet place. If I am out of my element, e.g., my location and/or surroundings, I become quiet, donning my learning hat.

Do you like to cook? If so, what are your favorite dishes to cook?

I just recently pledge–to my family and friends, that I was going to prepare this year, Thanksgiving dinner. Their responses were affectionately comical. This is indicative that, I am not the best of cooks. J I do however make a fabulously fierce fried eggs and melted cheese on raisin cinnamon bread sandwich! I can eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Are you a sports fan? If so, tell us about your favorite sports and/or sports team.

I was a big sport fan, until the New York Knicks continued to break my heart. This was the Patrick Ewing and John Starks era. Now, I watch Wrestling with my little nieces. Such fun and delight!

Are there any other hobbies you wish to share?

I love drawing and singing. I can hold a note…from time to time. Singing is not my calling– but I sure love doing it!

What movie(s) have you watched recently that you would recommend?

I recently went to see Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married, Too.” It was a surprising flick. It is not G rated, and is intended for mature audiences.

Do you like books being turned into a movie? If so, what is your favorite book-to-movie?

Good question. I have watched a movie that were based on books, and was not even aware of it. J I have my pros and cons about this topic. Sometimes Hollywood takes away from the authenticity of the books and/or hires unsuited actors or actresses. But, years ago I remember reading a paranormal Carpathian or Dark series, by Christine Feehan. I remember wanting her books to be made in to a movie. I would love for Christian author Kendra Norman Bellamy’s Grace Series to be made into a movie. And maybe my novel Love Found Me, I think it would make for a wonderful movie!

If Love Found Me was turned into a movie who would you cast to play your characters?

The characters in Love Found Me would star Gabrielle Union, as Sheila Lawson. Boris Kodjoe would be delicious as Mike Montgomery

Which social networks do you enjoy the most?

Wow, social networks have it pros and cons, just like anything else. I have had made some good connections with family and old friends- I do enjoy Facebook the most.

What’s next for you?

I am in the process of writing the next installment in my Love Series, titled, Love Lifted Me. This will be Rayna’s and Eric’s story. In addition I am working on the stage production of my inspirational release, Love Found Me. To be performed in 2010! Hopefully we shall be coming to a city near you soon!

About the Book

Mike Montgomery once lived the American dream. Gainfully employed, beautiful home, and a wonderful loving wife. Growing up in a loving family whose faith was unbreakable was his source of strength.
