In Love With Losers by LaToya S. Watkins takes the reader on a journey to hell and back. Readers witness the trials and tribulations of three women on the warpath looking for love in all the wrong places. This was a well-written book, with colorful characters that we all could relate to at some point in our lives; self-discovery, prayer, and self-esteem are just some of the qualities that you will find between these scandalous pages.

Zora is tired of dealing with her daily dose of dead beats and so with a harden heart she has tried to accept the fact that she might have to be alone. Alone does not mean lonely, she has church and her sister friends who she hangs out with, but to her nothing can compare to a male companion. Dealing with her own hidden, horror story of love gone wrong, Zora tries again with countless men who all turn out to be losers. That is until she meets Emory, he is every woman’s dream. Definitely eye-candy, hard-working and goes to church. Can he be just what the doctor ordered or will he turn out to be just another loser?

Donisha let love slip away and has forever beaten herself up about it, when love sneaks in and steals her heart and captures the attention of her two children, will she open up and welcome love or will she leave the door to her heart closed forever? When this wonderful god-fearing man comes into her life, bearing gifts, attention and praise will Donisha be let down? Or will his deadly secret led her astray?

Rachelle appears to have self-esteem issues that have stemmed from her poor judgment in picking a partner that will complete her. When her live-in boyfriend decides he wants his cake and eat it too, Rachelle is forced to stand up and take charge in her relationship. Will driven to care for a young teen help Rachelle recognize her own self worth and to stop dealing with deadbeats?

In Love With Losers will take you on a journey through growth, challenges, and disappointments. There are also some encouraging words, scripture and praise for all that these women endure on their paths to righteousness. I recommend this book to readers of all genres and I cannot wait to see what Ms. Watkins comes up with next.
