APOOO is excited to feature the book trailer for In Love With a Younger Man by Cheryl Robinson. Check out the book synopsis below and don’t forget to leave a comment to let us know what you think of the trailer.

Book Synopsis:

Dear World,
I’m taking a year off. Need to rediscover who I am, and what I really want out of life.
Don’t wait up,
Olena Day

As a corporate sales professional Olena’s had great success. Private life? Not so hot. But things are beginning to change. For one thing, at forty-three years old, Olena’s never felt so confident in her life. She just needs direction. Now, with a one-year paid sabbatical, she has everything mapped out: buy a convertible BMW, purchase a condo out of town, write the great American novel—and then, who knows, maybe fall in love? But what happens when two men are vying for her attention, but only one—the youngest—captures her heart?

Matthew Harper’s got it. He’s smart, earns a nice salary, is drop-dead sexy, and best of all, he doesn’t have a lot of baggage. There’s one problem. He’s 18 years younger. And he’s full of surprises. He’s always been a better friend to females than a lover. He’s even been known to issue women a disclaimer to proceed with caution.

What unfolds between them is something neither would have guessed—an unexpected romance about coming to terms, coming of age, and fighting for the love of your life.

  2. I may read the book because of the author but the trailer really didn’t do anything for me.

  3. The trailer didn’t really do anything for me either. Eighteen years is to much of a spread; he’s 25 and still trying to find himself. Naaa, I’ll pass.

  4. 18 years is a big gap.

  5. I’m not sure yet. I will have to wait and read some reviews before I purchase it.

  6. Sounds good, Stella is not the only one getting her groove back.

  7. Heyyyy APOOO Book Club!

see everyone is chiming in on what they think about Cheryl’s book trailer for her January 2009 release!

So it look like we have a May-December story going on this time around. So it will be interesting to see what struggles her characters go through in this one.

Now with regards to the trailer, I like the live action video and I commend authors who have the budget to have those done for they are pricey to make when you consider all that goes in to making them. Now does this trailer have the sizzle that her last one had? No, but then when I think about a May-December theme, I would not expect it to; after all there is no loud mouth husband working a sista’s nerve in this one . . . LOL! No, this trailer captures a sister who seems to be pretty lonely and when you’re lonely . . . sizzle is something that you won’t have. At least until the right man comes along and it sounds like this one is going to be a young one . . . .lawd hab mercy!

So it is going to be interesting to see how this one turns out!

Take care everyone and Yasmin, your site looks AWESOME sis!

  9. I’ve enjoyed all of Cheryl’s works thus far and definitely look forward to reading this one. From the trailer and brief synopsis here, it piqued my interest.

  10. I enjoyed the trailer and the way the questions were placed with it. They were intriguing and promotes me to think what if…..I want those answers so I will be reading the book!!!

  11. I’ve read all of Cheryl’s books and you will not be disappointed. They are all thought provoking and great reads. This book is a reflection of what’s happening in real time today. So often we limit ourselves in finding love because we can’t find anyone to fit the profile. Well, maybe it’s time to start opening that profile to more options. Like, younger men
