Sold out concerts, commercials, number one hits, movies and mayhem are what became part of Michael Jackson’s life story. The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story helps us to remember MJ from his broken childhood, working long hours in the studio, to his numerous hits and the Neverland Ranch. This book was written while Michael was still alive and adjustments were made after his death.

The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story by J. Randy Taraborrelli was an easy read as most of the details and descriptions in this book seemed to have been previously covered in the news and tabloids. Michael Jackson was a mega-star but he was also a human being, a brother, son and father. Exploited beyond comprehension from his early childhood to adulthood, this man’s life was filled with mishaps and misunderstandings. Can Michael Jackson ever rest? If he could turn back the hands of time would he have become addicted to all of those prescription drugs? Was he ashamed of his family or just not really into being in the public eye?
With all that we witnessed and loved about Michael Jackson he will be missed and his music will live on through our youths. I recommend this book to MJ fans.

  1. I bought the book, I haven’t finished it yet.
I have read the first part and the final part that starts with ‘Turning 50′ till the end. The last 2-3 pages of the book left me with sadness. and in generally, the more I read about MJ the more sorrow I get. It is a nice book, as far as I have read. Another author wrote the following (which conveys much of the truth): We will never find out what was going on with MJ as he did not know sometimes what he was doing. I Love MJ sooo much I have not recovered yet from his early passing and I read almost everything I find on him. He is one of the greatest, but even great people have weak points, or even great weak points.
