One is one of my favorite tunes of all times. I don’t know which I like best the lyrics or Bono…yea I went there…lol. I once dated someone who’s a dead ringer for him…unfortunately for me it was just a fling…something to do for the moment…the guy I dated was a really nice guy and sexy as heck too…but his family had way too many issues for me…and I couldn’t imagine being married to them too. My guy did get married…actually twice…years later I ran into him in an airport while travelling on business and he told me ‘I was the best thing he ever let get away and he should have fought harder for me.’ Ooh aah…I have no regrets…but it did make a sista feel good to know that she had such an impact on ole dude. We have mutual friends and I know that he never remarried…I don’t think he’s holding out for me…because the person I was 25 years ago is very different from the person I am today and sometimes memories are best held onto and left where they lay (or is it lie)…and I’m happily married so there won’t be any hanky-panky going on here. LOL.

I had just broken up with my high school / college sweetheart and he was a stalker. I met this guy who was an AWESOME dude. He tried to hang in there, but I kept going back and forth from him to the h.s. sweetheart and he ended up walking away, which was best. I probably would have done the same thing, had the situatoin been reversed. I think about him all the time….
OH the HS/College sweetheart the foolishness we went through with them…sigh.
