Name five genres that your book club reads regularly.
We read Christian fiction, contemporary fiction, erotica, urban fiction, and poetry.

Name five authors whose books your club enjoys reading together.
Our “Hall of Fame” authors are Anna J, Dwayne Joseph, Trice Hickman, Carl Weber, and Zane.

List the four best books that your book club has read this year.
Our top four book selections of 2008 are Torn by Keisha Ervin, 24 Hour Hold by Bebe Moore Campbell, My Woman His Wife by Anna J, and Unexpected Interruptions by Trice Hickman.

List three books-the last book your club read, the current book your club is reading, the book your club plans to read next.
The last book we read was Street Vengeance by Evie Rhodes, the current book we are reading is The Re-Education of the Female by Dante Moore, and the next book we plan to read is Mr. H.I.V by I.B. Freeman.

Offer two tips for a successful book club meeting or two things to consider before starting a book club.
We would like to offer one tip for a successful book club meeting and one thing to consider before starting a book club. One tip for a successful book club meeting is READ THE BOOK ENTIRELY!! One thing to consider before starting a book club is your purpose. Be more than just a group who reads and discusses books. Extend your service to helping your communities and the youth in your communities. There is work to be done and it starts with EACH OF US!!

If your group could have dinner with one author, who would be your group’s choice and why?
Our choice would be bestselling author Carl Weber. We have supported his career since we began. We also patronize his chain of bookstores (Urban Knowledge) and have acquired a wonderful relationship with the Urban Knowledge Bookstore staff. He is in our “Hall of Fame”!!

GOTTA RUN…BUT BEFORE WE DEPART:
What makes your book club unique and different from any other book club??
B-more Readers with W.I.S.D.O.M (Working to Inspire Self-worth through Determination, Obligation, and Motivational reading) is a book club/literary group created to integrate individuals with a passion for reading into a collective group. With our common interest of reading uniting us, our primary mission is to discover the greatest potential in ourselves and each other by allowing stimulating, entertaining, and informative literature to inspire and motivate us to serve our communities, strengthen our families, improve our relationships, and enhance our overall well being.

Is your group currently accepting membership?  If so, whom should readers contact?
Our membership is open to new members. Please contact Patricia Scott (President) and Latasha Hall (Vice President) at b_morereaderswithwisdom@yahoo.com.

  17. Congrates Ladies!!!! RLR is so on aboard with you in the determination to impact the community.

  18. Those were good words of advice. To me it is also important that the book club members read the entire book or don’t be upset if during the book discussion someone does a “spoiler.” If I don’t get a chance to read a book for that particular month, I don’t go to the meeting.

  19. Peace & Blessings Ladies,

Congrats & continued success on your quest to changing your communities and making a difference in the lives of others. “Challenge is Change” and may you all proceed on with strength and prosperity.

  20. You ladies are a wonderfully positive group of women. I wish you continued success with your book club.

  21. Congratulations, B-More Readers with Wisdom, on your feature. Love what W.I.S.D.O.M. stands for. Wishing you continued success.

  24. B~More Readers are a first class act. I have had the blessing of being both a keynote speaker, and featured author for this awesome club. While I am a little disappointed that my book was not chosen as one of their favorites (lol), they remain one of my favorite book clubs.

The spirit of excellence is definately present at all of their venues. Anyone seeking to join a book club, or start a book club would do themselves a great service by contact B~More Readers with W.I.S.D.O.M.

Patricia Scott, and Latasha Hall do a phenomenal job as president, and vice-president respectively. Their leadership has definately led the club to begin living their purpose, and pursuing their destiny. I am confident they are ready to; “Go Master The Day.”
