In Mind Your Own Business, by Lutishia Lovely, the Livingston men have gathered at the home of Ace Livingston to discuss the latest family dilemma. With a list of suspects, the men, with the assistance of Sterling Ross, a prominent detective, devise a plan to catch the person who attempted to destroy their family.
The family decides to steer their focus away from the criminal case to the opening of their new restaurant, Taste of Soul, on the west coast. Bianca Livingston, who recently returned from Europe, wants to prove that she is ready to run the family business; while her brother, Jefferson, believes that it is time for him to get from behind the desk and take on a new challenge. Bianca and Jefferson present very persuasive proposals for the position to the board of directors but they both have ulterior motives for wanting to move to the west coast that create even bigger problems for the family.
Lovely gives her readers a mouth-dropping, laughing, Oh-My-Goodness story. I found myself eagerly turning each page to see what would happen next. Just when I thought it was over, the story twisted and turned again to make my eyebrows rise. You may need to keep a list of all the twists and turns in the story. Fans of Lovely’s Hallelujah series will soak up the second offering of this series with this new family. I cannot wait to see what will happen next.
