Heading:  Can NOT Buy Love

What would you do if you won five million dollars in the lottery?  Buy your dream house, favorite car, start a business?  Is your list of needs and wants longer than the prize money can carry you?  In Author Connie Briscoe’s Money Can’t Buy Love, Lenora Stone finds out that money can do a lot of things, especially since she did not always have a lot of it.

Barely holding on to her job as a magazine photographer and dealing with a boss that was akin to Attila the Hun, Lenora always wished there was a quick way to realize her dreams of owning her own photography studio and proving that she is one of the best photographers out there.  What better way to do this than to take a chance and play the Maryland lottery for a just a few dollars?

Trying to get into an exclusive club with her best friends, while maintaining her financial obligations would be difficult, but Lenora wanted to be a part of something that said that she had arrived.  It seemed that Lenora’s dreams were far out of reach until she hit the lottery for five million dollars, and found that she was the only person who had the winning numbers.  From that day forward, her life would never be the same.

It was as if her life began to fast-forward once Lenora acknowledged that she had won the money.  The marriage proposal she always wanted from her boyfriend of three years finally became a reality, along with some other things on her dream list, but would these material desires be what will finally bring Lenora the happiness she sought?

I enjoyed reading Money Can’t Buy Love, but would have liked to see more detail in how Lenora’s financial decisions changed her life.  I recommend this book to anyone who might believe that money can buy everything, including love.
