What do Zane and Omarosa have in common?
Well they both only go by one name.
Zane has a new TV show and Omarosa has a new release titled the Bitch Switch.
Zane will be on the Doug Bank Show tomorrow (10.28) and Omarosa was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show today.
Speaking of…did anyone hear Omarosa on the TJMS this morning? Girlfriend wanted to get shiggidy with Sybil Wilkes. According to Omarosa she didn’t hear what Sybil said about her earlier on the show…but her peeps were blowing up her phone and saying that Sybil had dissed her. WTF…is Omarosa almost 40 or barely 12 when it comes to social skills.
I was listening to the show. Tom and Jay were discussing Omarosa milking her 15 minutes of fame. But, Jay said he loved, loved, loved her. Sybil was unusually silent…and while she didn’t show any love…she wasn’t hatin’ either. She actually said that she was indifferent…or she didn’t feel anything…which I took to mean she didn’t care one way or the other. She didn’t say anything nice but she didn’t say anything mean either.
Omarosa needs to get ova herself…honestly the world doesn’t revolve around her and NOT everyone is going to like her…and so what if people don’t…does this mean she’s going to JUMP to everyone who doesn’t like her. She sort of reminds me of Naomi Campbell…they like picking on folks…actually bullying folks…and they get away with it because neither of them appear to have met their match. But, honestly, if either of them ever runs up against the wrong person…they’re going to get the beatdown of their lives. (I just hope I’m here to see it…LOL).
Oh and Omarosa’s book…the Bitch Switch…did anyone hear the show today and Jay asking her when did she switch it on and off…lol…he was funny…but I digressed…here’s a book description of the book:
When a woman acts assertively, makes demands, and struggles for what she wants, she is labeled a bitch. The secret is to know when and how to turn on (or turn off) that “bitch switch.” Not being able to locate your “switch” leaves you open to being a victim; not knowing how to turn it off will get you a label that is hard to shake. From Omarosa, reality star, global television personality, and the prime-time woman you love to hate, comes The Bitch Switch, the smart and bitingly honest must-read for every woman who aspires to succeed in relationships, in business, and at home.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

I’m an Omarosa fan – from meeting her prior to The Apprentice, before the tv persona thing. She was at the Cap Book Festival (DC) this year promoting and speaking about her life. I don’t know how she tolerates the media drama though, all that scrutiny would wear me out.

I watched Zane’s show and wont be watching it on a regular basis. And unless someone gives me a free copy LOL I wont be buy the book but may browse through it at the library, If I see it, I wont be going there looking for it..
I can understand that Omarosa is trying to get all that she can from her little 15 minutes of fame, she like many other reality show rejects have all done so. Yet, at some point she will get sick and tired of being the butt of jokes and the epitome of a b**ch. Someone else will come along and take over that title. I hope she has invested her money wisely. There will come a time when no one will want to book her on their shows, have her write a book or want to listen to her lectures. And she will become a small footnote in the annals of television history.
Aisha…I’ll wait to hear your thoughts about Omarosa’s book.
Linda…I feel ya…hehe.
Raven…so true…I HOPE SHE HAS INVESTED HER MONEY WELL!
I’m indifferent about both of them. :0)
I’m pretty much with Dera. No thoughts on Zane. On Omarosa, I don’t mind her getting and milking her 15 minutes. I just hope the price is worth it when the cameras stop rolling.

Omarosa isn’t that bad. I say this based on her stint on The Surreal Life. There were worse characters on that show than O. Her lil tiff with Wendy (Wendell in some circles) Williams, I sided with O. Wendy is a beast in the face and stance and I just don’t like her tackiness and bitterness. Omarosa I am sure is bitchy but she is no worse than many others. What’s the big deal. I can tell she has business smarts and is a smart lady in general.
Sybil has a general tone (tude) about her with certain black female guests. I really don’t like it.
As far as Zane ‘s show, I have read bad reviews. I don’t have cinemax or any other premium channels. Why bother when I can watch online free somewhere and they always show reruns.
I’m indifferent.
I agree with Deidrea about Sybil’s tude. In fact, I thought it was unprofessional and in poor taste for her to clearly express her dislike (don’t care if she called it indifference) and then to be dead silent during the interview, which is not her normal behavior. I’ve heard her do this once or twice before with guests whom she personally didn’t care for.
Do you think television or newspaper reporters like everyone they have to interview? It’s their job, and she didn’t do hers. I’m surprised Tom let her get away with that.

Hey Patricia…actually I appreciated Sybil putting it out there how she felt…it was refreshing to hear her state that she felt indifferent about Omarosa…yep that’s code for I don’t like you…but sometimes its hard interviewing folks that we don’t like. Case in point, recently I was asked to do an interview with an author…an author that I like…but I read their book and realized that there was no way I could in good conscious endorse the book…so I’ve decided NOT to do the interview. Now granted there are other folks who will probably say WTF…but sometimes its not about pleasing others but remaining true to self.
And who was asked for the interview with Omarosa…Sybil or Tom…I got the impression it was Tom…and if she’s only done it once or twice I ain’t mad at her…but I do believe others who are should bring it to her attention that you all consider it her unprofessional. But, as a reporter, she’s not the first or the last to express her displeasure, distaste or dislike for someone they were interviewing…although in her case she wasn’t interviewing Omarosa.
Two major newscaster who come to mind are Matt Lauer…and Brian Gumbel…I’ve seen both of them in action with folks they don’t like and neither one of them were very pleasant.
As for me…folks I don’t care for…I just don’t interview period…lol.
