I’ve already read Big Juicy Lips, so good. I want to read India by Victoria Christopher Murray. Maybe Sinful Too, it depends what I think of Sinful when I read it later this year.
There are a few I want to read including Risque’s , Sister Souljah and Bailey-Williams book.
Midnight, Red light Green Light, India, and Dirty Truth. I can not wait until my reading restriction is lifted!
I can’t wait to read Decoys, Inc.,Queen Been and Tale of A Train Wreck.

A reading restriction? Is that contagious? Should we call someone for you?
Nardsbaby’s last blog post..Nardsbaby gave 5 stars to: Nan
Nicole and Nards…thanks for your input. Midnight…I’m going to host a big online ‘come one, come all’ book club discussion for that one as I believe lots of folks will be reading it…hopefully I’ll have a few giveaways also!
I have the following but may not read in Oct:
- Gamble on Love - Michelle Monkou
- Second Chance Bay - AC Arhtur
- Temptation - Donna Hill
I have preordered Midnight by Sister Souljah and will probably read when received but thought the publication date was Nov.
I am considering Red Light, Green Light as I very much enjoyed Butterscotch Blues
Love Child’s Revenge by Nicole Bailey Williams
Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah
Red Light Green Light by Margaret Johnson Hodge
These are the three I am most interested in. Temptation by Donna Hill is a re-release. Ten years old or more. I want to read Sinful after one of our staff reviewed it but I need to read the prequel first, Sin No More, I think.
Dera’s last blog post..I’ve Been Called Out
I plan to read
Love Child’s Revenge by Nicole Bailey Williams
Midnight: A Ganster Love Story by Sistah Soujah
Red Light Green Light by Margaret Johnson Hodge
Sinful Too by Victor McGothlin
I have on my list:

Second Chance by AC Arthur
Beverly, I want to read Margaret’s upcoming book also.
Dera, There’s a prequel to Victor’s book…I didn’t no that.
Jnette, I hope Midnight lives up to our expectations…lol.
Cilla, happy reading!
I plan to read Talk to Me, Sister Souljah’s book, Donna Hill’s book and India.
Oh yeah, APOOO got Talk to Me for review.

PA, I want to read Risque’s book also.

A Deal With Death by Endy
Big Juicy Lips: Double Dippin’ 2 by Allison Hobbs
Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah
Red Light Special by Risque
Tale of a Train Wreck Lifestyle by Crystal Lacey Winslow
I’m a little hesitant, though, about Midnight. Sometimes it’s best to leave well enough alone and let a classic remain a classic. I am hoping for the best.
I’m looking forward to reading:
Big Juicy Lips: Douple Dippin’ 2 by Allison Hobbs
Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah (I agree with you Ms. Toni, I’m a little hestitant to read it as well.)
Queen Bee by Mark Anthony
Red Light Special by Risque
Tale of a Train Wreck Lifestyle
Ms. Toni how was Dirty Truth? Understand about Midnight…and folks have already voiced that the kid on the cover looks nothing like what they envisioned Midnight would look.
APOOO reviewed Big Juicy Lips and we gave it 4 stars…sounds like it should be a very good read.
@ Yasmin, “Dirty Truth” was good but it’s very different than her other books. It’s more like a drama laced with mystery. And I’m one of those folks that have voiced my concerns about the cover. I’m not big on covers that use models, or at least show their faces. I like to have my own concept of what the characters look like based on the author’s descriptions. He is definitely not the Midnight I envisioned!
Ms. Toni’s last blog post..Ms Toni gave 5 stars to: The Ski Mask Way
I plan to read:
Love Child’s Revenge by Nicole Bailey Williams
Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah…(I think this is pushed out till November, though)
I plan to read Midnight: A Gangster Love Story, when it comes out in Nov. I read Donna Hill’s Temptation- and it was good!! Although it was a re-release I had never read before. I also read Second Chance, Baby by A.C. Arthur and it was good also.
I already have:
Gamble on Love
Second Chance Baby
I amoung the many others who are waiting for Midnight. I can not wait for this to come out.
OMG…I love that fact that I gave this a second look. I have been looking to see is Shonda Cheeks had anything other than the books I already read by her. Glad to see she has a new one.
I plan to read Indie, Talk to Me, Gamble on Love and probably Temptation.
